TRT World's digital platform serves diverse content formats — breaking news, video, livestreams, podcasts, and opinion. Each format demands its own user experience, yet the platform needed to feel like one cohesive product. The challenge was designing a scalable, modular system that could serve all these scenarios while staying intuitive across 6 responsive breakpoints

Results

Results

Delivered a unified design system that brought all content formats — news, video, livestream, podcasts, opinion — under one coherent experience. The modular component library made it possible to scale new page types without breaking consistency, while the 6-breakpoint responsive system ensured that content hierarchy adapted meaningfully at every screen size — not just shrinking layouts, but rethinking what users need first on each device.

Conclusion

Conclusion

Working on a platform of this scale — where a single design system needs to serve breaking news, livestreams, video archives, opinion columns, podcast discovery, search, and tag-based exploration — taught me that the real design challenge is never the individual page. It's the system underneath.

Every component needed to work in isolation and in combination. Every layout needed to serve its specific user intent while feeling like part of the same product. And every responsive decision needed to consider not just screen size, but how content consumption behavior changes across devices.

The screens shown here represent a selection from a much larger platform. The same design thinking extends to many additional page types not showcased in this case study.
